Getting a second phaser, Dad´s old mixing desk and exciter:
A dream comes true. Getting a desk, a phaser and Dad´s old Atari:
Trying out Dad´s Roland JX-3P:
The start of Ansgars own music system:
Ansgar working with Midi and sequencing the first time: I was very curious how Dad´s music computer works and asked him about it. He explained some basic things to me and I immediately wanted to try it by myself. This way I made my first experiences in working with the Cubase sequencer software on the Atari ST. Surprisingly I was able to create some bars of music with it.
14.07.2015: I just created some bars of music on Dad´s Atari ST.
14.07.2015: Here I´m improvising some basic melody to the beats and bass I just composed.
14.07.2015: Yeah, I really like this!
Trying out Dads´s Roland JX-8P: Yesterday Dad took one more of his old synthesizers out of storage, the Roland JX8P. Of course I wanted to try it out by myself.
08.07.2015: I really like the JX8P. Maybe I can get one by myself someday.
Ansgars discovering chords on his own/the moment when it really started: Today Dad was composing some music in his studio. At one moment when he wasn´t playing anything he was surprised to hear some chords. After checking which track he forgot to mute he was discovering me playing some chords on his Korg DSS-1.
08.06.2015: Today I discovered playing chords by myself. That was the moment when Dad had the feeling I have some talent and its worth to support my musical ambitions.
08.06.2015: E-minor, one of my first chords.
Sampling the Monotron:
03.06.2015: Dad gave me his old Hohner PK-60 sampling keyboard. I´m sampling my Monotron. Strange and funny sounds are coming out of it.
The Korg Monotron - my first Synthesizer: At the end of February 2015, when Dad bought back an old Hohner HS-2 synthesizer I decided I wanted to have a synthesizer for myself. I told Dad about that idea and he was a little surprised. Soon after he remembered the Korg Monotron and suggested I could start with that inexpensive instrument to find out if synthesizers are really the right thing for me. After some weeks of saving my pocket money I got my Monotron and really love it.
17.05.2015: I connected my Monotron to Dad´s Alesis Bitrman and it sounds amazing.
17.05.2015: With some effects and a good reverb this doesn´t sound like a toy.
Noodling around with Dad´s Technics Keyboard:
28.01.2015: Dad´s old Technics SX-K450 Keyboard has just been taken out of storage and I like to try it out.
